Either way, rest assured that the path in this guide will work. That's because flower breeding is based on genes so many colour combinations can work (the genes of each flower of the same colour may not be the same, for example red roses come in 13 different gene combinations). If anything, I might get to stop saying, "This area will look better once it has flowers," for a few days. I'm not thrilled about starting from scratch, but it's not like the flowers I've bred to this point will go to waste.

You have a long time to rearrange flowers and craft new furniture only to decide you don't like your theme and tear it down and start again. Coronavirus is here to stay for all of 2020. So, maybe, just maybe, dial back your frustration with not getting blue roses with the eighth hybrid pattern you've tried. And when dealing with variables like genetics, not having all the pertinent data means testing a hypothesis over and over again. It is a long, long process with a lot of drafts.

When I haven't been able to find better guides or spreadsheets for games, I've made my own. I find it interesting how much shade people have thrown at the OP.

I hope this helped somewhat and wasn't confusing! Simply because there are more steps involved and you pass multiple stages of hybrid flowers that look like other flowers!Īlso, please don't sell your flowers if they maybe come from a special island! Those almost always have a high chance of making the hard to get hybrids. Now, with green mums and blue roses, you probably wanna follow the guides pretty closely and buy new flowers. With those ones, it probably doesn't really matter where those flowers came from, but if you don't have any luck with the ones you placed next to each other you maybe wanna buy new ones. Place your oranges next to each other and you'll eventually get purple tulips! No need for new flowers. Tulips are the same as Lillies, with the added step of two oranges making a purple. Lillies can basically just color-mix and two reds make black. Lillies and Cosmos are very straightforward. But if you do happen to see that a red and yellow one made a yellow, just pretend it's orange. So I don't really see the need to use those hybrid yellows. With hyacinths - As far as I know, two oranges have almost the same chance of making a purple. Those will eventually make purple! And that's all there is with that. I just planted two reds and two blues in that diamond shape and relocate all the reds that spawn there into one big field of special reds. Those two work the absolute same way - you need an area where you breed blue with red to make those special reds. I'm guessing you're probably missing purple pansies and windflowers. Keep in mind that only some flowers require "tracking" which parents made which flowers! And I would still assume that most flowers on your island have the same genes as bought ones. I don't think you need to sell all your flowers, but maybe some if you really don't need them. But it can also be really stressful to overthink those things. Do you NEED to have those missing hybrids as fast as possible? Do you just want those hybrids or do you also want to have some different colored flowers to decorate your island? Those guides are targeted towards people who want the absolute most efficient flower breeding experience.
